Warning - This entry is really gross. Don't read this if you have a queasy stomach.
Oh yeah, there's nothing like traveling 65mph in early morning traffic and getting the sudden urge to spew chunks. Yup, there I was, trying to control my breathing, so I wouldn't purge and it back-fired on me. I scrambled for the towel on the passenger's seat, as the first wave of last night's dinner came rushing up my esophagus. I quickly stuffed one end of the towel into my blouse and held the other two ends in my hands on the steering wheel. My mouth quickly filled and I spewed. It was a perfect landing, right in the center of the towel.
The convulsions kept coming, but I made it to the shoulder of the road without causing any accidents. I opened the door and tossed the towel and then I spewed some more. Cars were whizzing past me and I remembered what happened last week with the black sedan barreling down the shoulder. I kept waiting for that to happen to me, but luckily we were "asshole-free" this morning. I stayed there and spewed until I could spew no more. Then I gargled with water and put the icky towel into a bag for disposal.
I was only a mile away from work, so I decided to go there, instead of returning home. The waves started again as I entered the parking lot, so I just parked in a random space and spewed out the door. Nasty, I know. I feel really bad for the person who eventually got that parking space. There are only a few things more nastier than steaming vomit on hot pavement. That last spew did me good though and I felt much better the rest of the day. Sometimes a good spew is all it takes to make yourself feel better.
