I woke up about an hour ago and found a post-it pad stuck to my forehead. Janine left me a note saying that she tried to wake me, but I was out cold, so she called my work and told them I was still "sick." I just called her and told her I was awake and then I called Joyce and verified that I hadn't missed out on anything big.

I wish Janine would have tried harder to wake me. My early morning efforts went to waste. I woke up earlier than usual and took a shower. Then I got dressed and ready for work, but I was sluggish, so I curled up for a few minutes. The next thing I know, it's 5:01pm and I'm running around like a chicken with her head cut off. Then I find the note and it all becomes clear. I'm glad Janine used a post-it instead of lipstick on my forehead like she usually does. It was a very long note and it probably wouldn't have fit on my forehead.

I just noticed something. If someone was to look at my attendence history, they would find something peculiar. The majority of my sick periods have been during the weekends, where I've taken Friday and the following Monday off. A resonable person might conclude that I was not really sick during those periods, but merely feigning sickness to acquire an extended weekend. Hmph! Interesting.
