Imagine waking up in a slightly drunken haze to find the fire alarm blaring and the room full of smoke. That's what happened to James this morning.

He forgot about dessert last night and was ready to break out the raspberry sorbet, when Lindsay suggested that we all bake something as a group. James quickly agreed. Anything to please Lindsay. Personally, I would have preferred the sorbet. Especially after hearing that we were going to make that honey drenched pastry known as Baklava.

It was quite a messy affair and it got even messier when we were eating it. We ended up getting into a foodfight on the kitchen floor. Janine and I escaped with the least damage, but James got the bulk of it. He was a good sport though. When we were leaving, he handed us bags of the Baklava as parting gifts.

There was still a good deal of Baklava left over, so James put it in the fridge and went to check on his e-mails before taking a shower. He fell asleep in his chair and woke up around two in the morning with a hankering for the Baklava. When he took it out of the fridge, he found that it had congealed, so he decided to heat it up. He stuck it in the oven and accidentally fell asleep and poof!

He was able to put out the fire and smack the alarm into submission, but that's not the whole story. As soon as the adrenaline left him, he noticed something weird. There were things crawling all over him.

Ants!

There must have been millions of ants crawling all over his honey laden body. Poor guy! If only he had served the sorbet instead.
