I'm exhausted. Susan kept me awake last night. Janine and I spoke to her after dinner and told her that she needed to seek help. She agreed and then she started bawling. After we calmed her down, we weren't sure of her mental state, so I decided to follow her and make sure she got home okay. When we got there, she asked me to stay with her until she fell asleep, but she never really did fall asleep. She did spill her guts about Tyler though. She had an affair with Tyler before she ever met Eric. Tyler kept saying that he was going to leave his wife, but he never did. He moved away and Susan found Jon.

Jon was an older guy. He was married, but he and his wife were planning to go their own ways when the kids hit college. They had an open marriage, so he screwed around a lot and so did she. Susan instantly fell for him and they started seeing each other. She thought she was the only one, but was surprised when Jon brought her home to screw with the wife. Then she learned about his other girlfriends and became instantly repulsed. She stopped seeing him. A few months later she started going after Eric.

Eric worked at the company where Susan had interned and he helped her eventually get a permanent job there. She became infatuated and pursued him. He declined her advances, but one fateful night at a company party they both got plastered and had sex. The next day when Eric had sobered up, he told Susan it had been a big mistake. Susan was in too deep. She didn't want to hear that. Susan continued to pursue Eric to the point of stalking him. He eventually filed a restraining order and threatened to go to HR for sexual harassment.

We found out about it and convinced Susan to stop chasing him and she did, up until three months ago. That's when Judy moved out. Judy was Susan's roommate and she looked out for Susan and kept her under control. When Judy left, Susan felt lost. She searched for the last thing that had made her happy and it was Eric. So she tried to rekindle something that never was. Eric was happily married. He told Susan that he wasn't interested in her and what happened between them was a mistake. She didn't want to hear that. She threatened to go to his wife and she eventually did. Eric is now separated from his wife and if the marriage counseling doesn't work, they'll probably get divorced.

Meanwhile, Tyler and his family moved back here and Susan started seeing him again. Then earlier this month, Susan felt conflicted about what she had done to Eric and decided to pursue a normal relationship. She met Ryan and started dating him. They hit it off, but Susan still hasn't stopped seeing Tyler. She says she's in love with both of them, but she loves Tyler more. I told her not to pursue Tyler anymore, at least not while he's married. If Tyler is truly unhappy with his marriage, he should grow some balls and tell his wife, so they can either fix it or get divorced. He shouldn't be going around behind her back, cheating on her.

Whew! That was a lot of typing. I love Susan and I really hope she’s serious about getting help. She needs to talk to someone that can find the root of her dependency for married men.
